Ya, but my yahoo has been like that since I got this and its been months. I've always had the yahoo mail icon. I'm with AT&T btw.
I have never noticed it since I set up my account over a year ago.

Zerog,

So you are stating that you cannot use the 2.4 features unless you delete your account and re-enter it? People with less that version 2 are prompted for an upgrade but what about all the rest of us??

No I just did this so I can have the Yahoo mail icon on my phone try sending yourself a contact as a vcard to your bb and see if you can view it before you save it.

the biggest different on bis 2.4 is auto login..

which is a pain for user who frequently tested new device, must be deactivated first by login to your bis website using desktop or maybe using operamini to revoke auto login feature..

if you using your email setting to login to your bis website, it will show change handheld procedure, beware please make sure you know what are you doing even there is a funny thing that we are required to answer if we are going to change to the same PIN :p just choose -NO-

this feature is great for a new user

and by the way apac (asia pasific) using this new bis since last week.. at least my carrier is

beware if you take your simcard to other blackberry, make sure on the bis website that you are tied to right pin.. (unless you have revoke the auto login feature , so you must login to change handheld)

and other new feature, is if you create user must accept agreement first before creating user name, and for existing user there a end agreement link on the bis website (haven't tried this)

cmiiw, at least that what i known from the new bis 2.4 ..
i miss my bis 2.3 :D

Or, you could just wait til it's confirmed, checking back here often. I know, no fun in that. hehe.
This doesnt work on my Pearl ... no auto login love. BUT, my parents just got their 8820, and it does auto log in.

That's right. According to RIM's documentation on BIS 2.4 the auto-login option only works on the device on creating a new BIS account. And if you use the web interface thereafter, the auto-login from the device no longer works.

Are you guys referring to the RFC standard IMAP IDLE? It will most likely be back in a future release, it may just take a while. Us IT admins need to make sure we fully support IDLE before they will activate it again

Exactly. For example, if a user needs to setup Mail Connector (SMC), they will automatically lose the seamless login feature whether they like it or not.

Sure hope so. Remember that the IMAP server must also support concurrent connections.
