Is Service pack 5 stable?
Please Login to Remove!
Afternoon quick question, we have BES V 4.0.3.11 installed and running just now, but I have experianced issues with MASSIVE logs (upwards of 10Gig) and have searched around here to find that service packs may be the answer.
Logically I think installed service pack 5a + the two hot fixes would be the best way, but I want to doubt check that this is the best one to go with..

The massive log files, assuming it's just the ALRT file, is a known issue. Search on here for the resolution, or go ahead and upgrade to SP5.

Question: Does the SQL account require ServerAdmin permissions in order to upgrade to SP5? i.e. are the Schema changes involved?
We need to coordinate with our SQL folks if SA is required (we are not given this by default), so thanks for any feedback you can provide.

For BES 4.0 it required server admin, for BES 4.1 it requires sysadmin (For role base admin)

I concur - SP5 for Groupwise is a good thing - database indexing has a big impact if you have a lot of traffic...
