Question BES Accounts - Status Initializing - Lotus Notes

Please Login to Remove!

Good day all,

After a few searches here and reading over Blackberry's support section I still am not satisfied with information I have found. I have some questions about what's happening to a few accounts on the BES.

I don't have access to the logs to see what's happening fully so I was wondering if someone more knowledgeable here could explain why accounts sometimes move from running to initializing.

Of course new accounts pending activation are in this status. However I have a few that were running at some point that have slid back to initializing. Sometimes they will have been running for months and sometimes it's new activations.

If I missed an obvious source of this information kindly enlighten me as well~!

Warm regards,
Bean

Do the devices actually stop working, or is BlackBerry Manager just misreporting info?

The current bunch (3-4 accounts) were activated by a co-worker yesterday.

We had messages that they were activated from a monitoring tool we use. Today, when I went back to assign a software configuration - they were back to initializing. These folks are overseas and I don't have a direct method to contact them to verify if they are working/were working.
