Default Blackberry & lotus notes calendar Sync issues

Hi all,

I made an reschedule in lotus notes client after a few seconds my meeting is set correct on notes calendar but my blackberry no set to the new date.(we've got BES 5.0,our clients notes 7.0.2)

Normally everything goes well and the new rescheduled date and time is set well in my notes client. But sometimes blackberry not.( BB9000,9700 and 9800)

What do you things ? Can you please help me ?

I've had this problem before with Lotus Notes and our BES. The best way I've found to fix it is to wipe the device, make sure it has the latest OS, then reactivate back to the BES. Of course, backing up and restoring data is in there also. This was really the last resort if all else fails.

Before wiping the device do a calendar reset, go to the calender, click on the Blackberry button and choose options from the menu, highlight desktop and key in rset, you will get a message about deleting all entries from the device and resyncing.

Few knows that with BES 5.0 SP2, you can trigger a manual calendar sync from the BES server.

Below is the steps from the Admin Guide:-

Start the calendar synchronization process manually for a user account

By default, the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server synchronizes the calendar on each BlackBerry device user's computer with the calendar on each user's BlackBerry device at a regular interval. You can use the BlackBerry Administration Service to start the calendar synchronization process manually for a user account.

1. In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the BlackBerry solution management menu, expand User.
2. Click Manage users.
3. Search for a user account.
4. In the search results, click the PIN for the user account.
5. In the Communications list, click Synchronize calendar.
