Exclamation Incoming call lag???!!!

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BB Pearl w/ T-Mobile and I am having problems when I get an incoming phone call. The person calling me won't hear me for a good 3-5 seconds. Like when I anser the phone I say hello 3x and the person who called would only hear the 3rd hello. But when I make the calls there is no problem. I was wondering if any of you guys here have had the same problem...Let me know...Thanks!

This has been discussed in many threads. Don't know about anyone else, but I don't feel like repeating myself.

Just use the Search feature with the word "lag" and you will be surprised what will pop up.

Some Members think telling people to try the search feature is being rude. So disregard the rant portions of this post if you agree with them.

It's commonplace.

I got the same thing on the current O2 version as well. I hope it gets fixed soon, it really annoys me and the people calling me.

The answer is, some people have it with latest OS from O2, and some people don't. Not sure why it is like this, but it is. The possible fix will be RIM coming out with a newer OS. Just keeps your eyes posted here and you'll know when it's available.

i have a rogers branded pearl and i have used the rogers os and the o2 os and have had the lag with both. i would pull the battery when it seemed to get worse and the problem would go away for a few calls then come back and get progressively worse. when i finally got fed up with it i phoned rogers to see if they would replace the unit for me since some users dont seem to have the problem. the rep agreed that he would send me a new model after we tried one thing. he asked me to pull the battery and leave it off for at least 5 minutes while he reset my account. he said it would take a few minutes for the reset to happen and that it was important that my unit was not connected to the network while it was happening. that was 6 and 1/2 days ago and my lag is gone. i use my phone for close to 2 hrs per day and 2/3rds of the calls are incomming.

when i answer the phone now i try to do it extra fast just to see what happens and the lag is gone. hopefully it does not come back.

hope this helps as i know first hand how inconvenient this is for people like me whose business relies on the phone.

I had the call lag when I first got my Pearl but once I installed the Rogers OS update it stopped. I was hesitant to try the o2 OS update as some said they got the call lag but I thought I'd try it since I can always roll back my OS and after the o2 OS update I still have no call lags.

Default lag problem

I used to have the lag problem with the new O2, or at least I thought I had it.

Try shouting when you answer the phone (ok don't shout, just speak really loud and clear). Its seems that the mic isn't peaking the voice as sensitive as it should at the beginning. That worked for me.

Hope this helps.
