Question UK O2 Online Account -

Please Login to Remove!

I have contacted 02 about providing BB data services for my new BB which I bought on EBAY. They have told me my 02 account is an online account and BB data services is not compatible with O2 online.. Is there any way around this.

Thumbs up

I have an O2 data plan for my BB bought on ebay.

O2 only offer data plans on business tariffs vis their business dept.

They should be able to transfer your online phone number to a new business tarrif data plan

Good Luck !!!!!

No, they need to move your phone number to a business account and it will take them forever to do it too, trust me I've been through it. Once moved you can sign-up and get your O2 BB mail account from here: BlackBerry Internet Service

Then set your own domain to forward mail to this address. That's what I do and it works perfectly. My Gmail also forwards to this.

Why do you have to move to a business tariff to get data support? You can get data support for blackberries on a consumer contract which is exactly what I've done. You can do this either by adding a data bolt on, either a pay as you go option or an unlimited data package. However, there is one catch. Consumer tariffs only allow you to access BIS data transfer. Hence if you are seeking to connect to a BES account, you are required to move to the business tariffs which offer BIS and BES data support.
