Default Restoring email to their respective mailboxes from AT&T Bold to VZW Tour issue.

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone. I just switched back to VZW and got the Tour. My restore has been pretty much flawless except that my emails from my Bold did not restore properly to their respective mailboxes on my Tour. All the messages appear in the Messages folder but not in their own mailboxes. I used DM's switch device feature to do this. How can I correct this? I've never had a issue before as I've swapped devices many times but all on AT&T. I've tried doing a selective backup and restore without success.

I did all this BEFORE I registered my Tour handset on VZW's BIS so is this why it happened? If so, how can I fix it? I've searched but it seems as if no one has had this particular issue. I've only skimmed the search results. If anyone could help me out here I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Nevermind. I thought I got it but I didn't.

I did complete wipe of the device using JL Cdmr. Reloaded the OS from scratch. I then sent the service books which worked. I then restored my email msgs using selective restore.

After doing this, all my emails displayed properly in their own mailboxes BUT all new incoming emails would start displaying in the Messages folder and not their own mailboxes. I resent the service books again and this time, all the emails that were in their mailboxes went back in to the Messages folder and all new incoming emails were placed in the correct mailboxes.

This issue is really bugging me. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? I've never had this issue before EVER. Can anyone else please chime in?

Okay. Just got off with RIM Tech Support. It's because the service books differ from carrier to carrier so no luck for me.

Yes, I had the same problem and took it back to the store. After an hour of them working on it they replaced it (only had it for one day). Plus, I had a few other things that wouldn't work also.

Was the problem resolved with your email and mailboxes?
