I use to get tha message too......it's not because of BB connect. Did you switch from another carrier? My problem was that I had old information still left on my account when I switched from Cingular to T-mo and that was causing this problem. When I bought the pearl I got the same message and RIM had to clean up my files before I can get my emails to download. My p990i is now working like a charm and registered no problems.

Default Bbc

I was able to connect BBC push email to my T-Mobile USA service.

Now my problem is that I cannot surf the web. Does anyone know the configurations to make this work?

Its unusual because my push email functions work perfectly. Its just that when I try to surf the web, I get an "cannot locate server" message. Can anyone help? I cant surf the web with my BIS service as well as connecting it to my Airport Wifi.

Did you set up your GPRS or Wifi Settings?

Now I have another issue. When I delete emails on my BIS P990i, it won't delete off my email server. I have set it up to "delete" and "reconcile on", so I'm not really sure what the issue is.

Just upgraded the P990i firmware to R9F011 this morning.
Newest BB Connect version 3.45 does not seem to work on Cingular.
Neither do earlier versions 3.35 or 3.37.

Anyone met with any success?
Thanks for any tips.

In case anyone has upgaded their P990i to latest (World Generic 1)
SEUS update; Phone: R9F011 with CDA: R5A13 and is interested in
a working BB Connect software,
this thread on the Esato forum has a couple of download links
Blackberry Connect for R5A firmware on the P990i : Symbian phones : Sony Ericsson @ Esato
Version is 3.50 and File name is-
SYMBIAN_SIGNED_blackberry_R1A51_V3_50_ZEBRA_locali sed_PROD.SIS

I installed it on a P990i I upgraded for one of the managers at my work
and it works fine on the Cingular BIS network (no idea about BES).

Managed to get it working after much struggle with previous versions.

you are referring to v3.55 or v4?

is v4 of BB Connect available for P990i?

the v4 for P1i installed ok on P990i since both are UIQ3 phones. However, RIM has blocked registeration from P990i using v4, thus unable to use v4 on P990i till it is release (if ever) for P990i
