Not aware of any BBConnect devices available through T-Mobile.
I know that Seimens and Nokia are working on a model or two.

I'm using a Sony Ericsson P910a on T-Mobile USA with BBConnect today.
You are not limited to the devices that T-Mobile USA sells in their stores. This isn't Nextel, bbgirl

Is it "real time" email just like on the RIM devices? Also what other devices is the blackberry connect offered through and how would you get it?

It is!
You have to really do some digging at this point to get it working. The American market is really wary of this at this point because of patent litigation.
RIM and NTP are butting heads STILL and it makes Nokia and Sony Ericsson and others in that cabal really nervous about launching a product in the United States that they may or may not need to pay through the nose to TWO parties for.
Once it settles down they'll probably open the gates. Or just go to Microsoft and Active Sync. NTP could affectively kill RIM by hobbling third-parties form using BlackBerry Connect in this market.
Keep in mind that in Europe and other parts of the world, RIM doens't have the stranglehold on push email. There are no fewer than 5 companies offering services like BlackBerry and many are superior (AND inferior too ) to the service.

Yes, I used my O2 XDA II with my TMobile service. I was disappointed that only the Wireless E-Mail was in this BlackBerry Connect client, I got the calender, address book, and journal to sync with Intellisync, but who wants to deploy another "cabled" solution...

Well, one thing that is rather nice is that you could just sync wireless (yet local) via Bluetooth on those devices

I've had no problem getting GPRS data on non T-Mobile branded phones, with the exception that getting the cheap t-zones to work is sometimes a PITA.
Never had a problem with the $19.99 plans.

GPRS is GPRS is GPRS is GPRS. The form of the device (non-smartphone, smartphone, PDA phone, PC card) doesn't really matter.
So the answer to the question you asked "can any GPRS data device be used on T-Mobile" is: almost-always yes.

Just watch out for older SIM cards. Sometimes they don't work properly in new devices.

every time I reread this thread, I get confused. I thought BB connect is not available here?
Also, this isn't internet service this is via BES...if that matters...
because I just read Sempai, post and am wondering. I would like to test my pocket pc devices, and am playing with the idea of buying a treo, to test out, but I need the bbconnect software to do that. Also anyone know of any devices with blackberry built in other than the siemens sk65...also, I can buy it and put a tmobile sim card in it, right?

If you get a T-Mobile US branded device, or a SIM-unlocked device, you should be able to pop in a T-Mobile SIM without issue. Most carrier branded devices are SIM-locked. i.e. you can't pop a T-Mobile SIM into a Cingular-branded phone, unless someone's SIM-unlocked the phone.
AFAIK, the BB Connect software isn't "technically" available in the US. However T-Mobile Germany has released it (on their website) for a few of the phones that they support,as well as O2 (?).
Some folks over on http://forum.xda-developers.com/front_page.php have had some luck on getting the BB Connect software to install on various models of PocketPC Phones, but it sounded like it took a lot of trial-and-error before it worked, and even then, it didn't always keep on working for them.

SK65. As they said, you can get just about any device you want unlocked and ready-to-use with your TMO SIM. So go out and look at all of the BBConnect devices and then go over to eBay or a reputable retailer and purchase the device and test it out. You won't have to contact TMO or anyone - simply pop your SIM card in and run with it. If you want to wait for the US providers to start reselling the handhelds, then you may be waiting for a bit - atleast until the legal battle is over between RIM and NTP.

I have been looking at the P910A to replace my Tmo 7100t in the US. It is available from Tiger with a rebate but they make no mention of the BBConnect software. Can that be installed separately? If so, where do I get it? Will it support push e-mail from POP3 accounts the same as the 7100t does now with the TMO BB Plan and BWC? Help
