Default Blackberry Music Options?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm an experienced Blackberry user (7100i and currently the 8703e) but my music technology knowledge is pretty weak. I have an MP3 player, so I'm not totally lost.

Anyway, is there a music program that I can download or is there a way to listen to music, whether it be MP3s or internet radio? I'm tired of people talking to me and asking for money while on public transportation or walking around. I have to learn more about the programs that are out there because the only thing I have ever downloaded on the phone is Google Maps.

Thanks for any information.

Not for the 8700... The 8100 can do it, and it's rumored the soon to be released 8800 (Jan/Feb 07)(??) will be able to do it as well

Just plug in a set of headphones to the Blackberry, people won't know if you're actually listening to music or not.

check out this thread. I haven't tried this software on my 8700c but let me know if you do.

i don't think that the 8700 has enough memory to maintain more than a couple of songs.

The 87xx ship with 64 MB of memory and about half of that is taken up by the OS. So after data and 3rd party apps lets say you have, reasonably, 10 MB or so that you could devote to MP3s ... that's 2 or 3 songs at best ...

Well what about live broadcasts like radio stations? I tried radiobee and have had no luck. Are there certain file types that the BB can open?
