Default ota installation gives java.lang.nullpointer exception

Please Login to Remove!

I've created a simple J2ME-based midlet that runs fine in the sun emulator, but when I attempt to download over the air (in jar file format - the MDS server should convert to COD automatically, right?) by accessing the JAD file, it gives an error, that apparently resolves to an MDS java.lang.nullpointer exception. Any ideas what kind of simple mistake I might be making? All the Mime types have been set correctly on the web server where the download is occurring.
Thanks
Greg
