Default Theme Problem - Tried Everything...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks,

I have a problem setting up 3rd party themes with my BB Curve 8300.

Tried OTA/Manual Alx/Desktop Manager.

I could get theme installed BUT it won't show up in setting - themes but it only shows up in applications.

I've read the FAQ - Im using ver 5.0, i've downloaded themes suitable for 8300, My carrier is not 3rd party appy restricted, i pulled my battery, i have free memory. The application permissions are all set to allow.

I've tested this problem with 10 over themes now. I couldn't get any of them to show up in the setting - themes nor could i find them sitting around anywhere...

Themes with the blackberry app store works fine. Those are the only themes that work! So you can understand my pain here.

Games and other third party apps work fine. It's only the themes.

Anyone got a solution/similar problem here?

Many thanks!

Sounds like corruption in your OS. Might be time to reload via AppLoader.exe.

Please do not double post. Once is enough. Your second thread has been deleted.

I doubt it's a corruption as i got my phone yesterday NIB with OS 5.0 installed...

Found hundreds of pages on google describing the same problem but seems like little or no solutions.

Are the themes compatible with both your device and the OS you are running?

Did they work normally using the original 8300 OS?

I have not tried the older OS yet but 5.0 is the newest OS. The themes are definitely compatible with 8300 models.
