I disabled mine (set it to none) to avoid pressing it accidentally.

That said, I haven't had much problem with accidental key pressing on my 8800 as I did with my previous phone (Nokia E62). I always used to make inadvertent voice recordings when taking it out of the holster.

I will probably one day set it to voice dial, though.

My rationale is this. I can hit F for profiles, K to lock the keys, A or hold in TALK for the contacts. Voice dial has no short cut I don't think.

For alarm set up but every time I press it PTT application still goes firs and alarm second.. is it normal?

Voice Dial. Previously I used it to bring up the browser which was set to go to a real time traffic map. The Web Shortcuts app basically freed up the key IMO.

You can only do that if you set "disable dial from main menu".. I like being able to type the name of a person and choose to call, SMS, MMS, email, etc them.
