Well, you didn't give us much to work with, but it sounds like you need to wipe and try again.

Also, learn to spell correctly. Bonus points: use punctuation properly, too!

i have wiped it ... twice but its not taking update my current OS in hand held is 4.6.1.310 and my dm shows update for 5.0 OS ...for it . and tell me one more thing will my handheld locked again if ii update it

Instead of freaking out, try giving us some details.
Where are you seeing this error?
When does this error occur?
Are you using Desktop Manager of Loader.exe?

Hae you rebooted the PC you are using and trying again?

im seeing this error when i put my phone on usb open DM i open software update in application uploader . i get update option for my handheld that is 5.0.0.661. my phone is blackberry curve 8900 from vodafone uk . i have unlocked it by inserting mep2 . it has OS v4.6.1.310 well . when it is being updated the error arises when its is connecting to jvm or connecting to device ROM (fatal error please try again ) tell me how to update and what is problem i will be really thank full to you people

try using Loader.exe instead of desktop manager.

I cannot remember what it does, but as its exactly like DM without all the fancy graphics, its pretty self explanitory.

Hi try reinstalling the 8900 OS, it may be corrupt.

- Install the OS
- delete vendor.xml
- launch loader.exe

i installed new OS in pc then i deleted vendor.xml and launched apploader then it replied no action required(after few steps) > im so upset with this

when using loader to get the yup date to work


remove battery
connect usb
start loader.exe
at point when it is looking for the device, insert battery
from there it will install the new os
