Don't know if anyone has seen this but...

I have my alarm clock set up to use a ringtone/song that I've loaded to my handheld. It's worked fine for quite a while, but recently it's begun changing. For example, it will play the correct ringtone for a period of time, then one day it will play a different one. The next day, it's back to normal. I've rebooted the device and done a battery pull a few times, and the behavior persists. And, of course, I've verified that I have the correct ringtone set up as the alarm. I haven't changed the OS in quite a while, so I don't think that's it. I've updated some apps via AppWorld, but have not added anything new.

Any ideas?

Did you make any changes to the device before this started happening? Like did you add a new application or new content to the media card?

yes,

if the tone is on the media card, i could possibly an issue with that.

Yes, it's on the media card. I don't ever remove it and can access other data there, so I imagine that it's properly seated. Maybe the handheld loses contact with the card for some reason and substitutes another sound file. I'll try moving it to BB memory and see if it pops up again. Thanks for the suggestion on where to look.

no problem. it could just be a software glitch where it looses contact. not the card, but probably the phone is at fault. if you upgrade the OS that might work.
