Hi.

I have an ATT regular phone account currently. What is involved in buying an ATT branded Blackberry on ebay and getting it set up?

Any info is appreciated.

It is my understanding that AT&T locks their phones/blackberry handhelds. Buying an AT&T blackberry over ebay will be a waste of money as you won't be able to get an AT&T SIM card since the merger, and they will not unlock it for you to use it on Cingular.

You could use your existing SIM and modify your services, but it that SIM somehow were to be damaged your SOL.

Anyone know different please let tell me!!

I think you're jumping to conclusions a little.

While it might be to your advantage to buy a t-mobile unlocked BB, you wont be wasting your money by buying a 'locked' one.
