Default BB Messenger keeps ringing

Please Login to Remove!

My BB Messenger wont stop ringing until the ringtone stops. I try everything except removing the battery but it continues until the ringtone is complete. How do I correct this? What does count mean in the BB Messenger menu? It has 1, 2 and 3. Thanks.

I don't want it on vibrate. Usually I can hit any key to stop the phone or text messages. But that doesn't work with BBM.

try updating the O.S.

it could just be a little glitch in the programming of the o.s.

No problems with the ringer before the upgrade. My BBM version is 5.0.0

so then the upgrade caused it. you could wait for another "leak". it probably wont be too long.

Drakeford I'm having the same problem. However, I am on a 9000 device with v5 OS.

A little more clarity to what I'm experiencing, and maybe you as well.

If I have the BBM app open in foreground and someone sends a message, no matter what I do on the keyboard or trackball, it will not stop the tone. Tried different tones, both stock and non. On memory card and on device. Simply doesn't matter.

However, If the BBM app is in the background and a messages arrives, as soon as I touch the keyboard or trackball, the tone stops.

It didn't happen on v4 OS before this so, it's definitely something related to v5. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. If I try a different OS, I will update this thread.

Devnull you described the problem to a "T". It is very aggravating.
