When I recently upgraded to the Blackberry 8350i from a Motorola 850, the sim-card swap was done and all of the contacts were transfered to the BB, but the fields didn't line up right - not a real big deal...
After installing the Blackberry desktop software to my PC, here's what I was hoping to do:
1. Do a backup from the BB to my PC (which was completed and saved to my Desktop) - the backup file: Backup-(2009-10-07).ipd could not be opened from my desktop. I thought I'd be able to make the edits to my contacts through my pc then update the BB.
I called BB support at Nextel - all they told me was that the BB desktop software was only designed for backup/restore & suggested getting on this forum with other BB users to get my question answered.

I'm sure this question has already come up here -- please forward me the posts regarding this question.
Simply, how can I edit my contacts on my BB through my PC, then transfer the updates back to my BB, rather than the tedious task of making all the contact updates through my BB? Thanks!
Other than this issue, I'm lovin' my 8350i and having Facebook updates, email, MMS, Camera/Video, Internet with me everywhere I go...
