Default Lag after entering password or deactivating keyboard lock

Please Login to Remove!

The 9800 has considerable lag after resuming operation after being in keyboard lock mode or after entering the password. After I do one of those things the unit is unresponsive for several seconds (both touchscreen and trackpad). Anyone else having the same problem? I sure hope that they can get a software update out for this.

I have to tell you, the lag on this phone continues to drive me crazy. This is my second unit, too. I may not be able to hang on to this phone if they do not acknowledge this soon.

FWIW: Crackberry.com forum users report the same issue.

Seems the new Beta OS 6.0.0.161 fixes the Tin can sound problem and the lag comming out of keyboard lock.

Default Password Lag

Same issue here. However, I'd swear it has been getting worse and didn't start until after I registered with the corp BES.

I really like the phone but BES policy forces password protection and the lag is very annoying.

Could it be that the phone goes through some type of registration process every time is gets unlocked?

It clears itself once you do a battery pull. However, the darn battery cover is so hard to remove, it is a pain to have to do it every other day.

YEP! Exactly the same thing here and sometimes the phone just totally freeze and have to do a battery pull. But in all honesty to consider all the pros/cons, I can live with it still, just hoping a new software will be out soon to address all the major/minor issues.

I did install the .161 and can confirm it fix the tin-can sound problem. But ALSO notice the .161 lag more seriously than .141
