hi all,

i just had a question for you. i bought an 8900 today from my local t-mobile store and absolutely love it.

on the side of the box it says that the phone was made in mexico with a 4 beside mexico.

all of the previous blackberry as well as my brothers 8900 has made in mexico 3 on the side of the box.

anyone else here have a made in mexico 4?

any difference, or just a more recent production batch?

yeah mine is mexico... however most of them have like mexico and then the number 3...
mine has mexico and then the number 4.

anyone have made in mexico 4?

my box also says 'Made in Mexico 4'.
I am from Germany and got my BlackBerry from 02 (Telefonica Germany).
Can '3' and '4' stand for the plant where it was produced?

if you disassembly the phone, you will see that the mother board quality of mexico 4 is much more better than mexico 3
