Well, my curve is the first phone that I have kept for any decent amount of time, without coveting some other new phone. I promised my fiance I would keep it at least a year I am happy with it, and he is going to have it done for me as a gift.
I have decided that I am just looking to do my 8820 and keep my curve as is. Not sure on colors yet and while their color palette tool is nice its not does not give me the real world look and feel. Too back it will be weeks before if not longer anyone here gets it back.
I emailed them ColorwarePC support yesterday with one simple question. What happens if my battery door becomes lost or damaged? Can I get an an extra battery door color matched (I have a spare for each phone).
The simple answer is NO. They will only do a single complete phone so if it breaks, gets lost or whatever you cannot get a spare done you will need to order a full new phone color paint job which means you would need to go to cnn.cn and order spare parts rebuid your BB and send it in again.
So, has anyone started the process of getting their phone colored? I'm definitely going to do it but I'm still deciding on the color..... Leaning towards prowler
I'm still a bit tempted but with the rumors of the 89xx for Vodafone announced at Boy Genius Report with what is the best specs abound I may just save my cash and get one of those direct from Colorware (if they get them) and get it colored out of the gate. I need to see what the next few months is going to shape up like.
I'm pretty set on the blush color. An all black one looks cool too! Now I can't decide if I want to send mine in and get a Pearl while I wait (then sell it) OR... buy a new Curve from Colorware and then sell my Curve I have now once the I get the Colorware one. Decisions decisions!
starsrblind, go with the option that leaves more money in your pocket. it is afterall a 3-4week replacement. maybe its a good opportunity to pick up a backup bb ;)
yeah go the blush its always good to see a girl flashing pink!
