VeriChat Permission Denied

Hopefully one of you has had this problem and won't need three weeks to help me resolve it like my friends at VeriChat seem to. I had a working copy of VeriChat on my Nextel BB 7100i.
One day it didn't work. That's the story. None of the settings changed, and the license is good. I get a Permission Denied error when I attempt to log in to one of 3 IM accounts (there are only 3 total).
I don't know the program version (don't know where to look) and I don't know how to uninstall the program. I also don't know where the license is for it because I didn't install it and the fella who did is now gone. But I don't suspect that anyone can help me with this part of it.
I didn't install this software. Therefor the only setting I can find is a checkbox to 'Force MDS'. According to the folks at Nextel we use MDS so that should be OK.
So . . . is there anyone who can offer me some insight about what to do? Thanks,

PS - The boss is married to this program so I don't yet have the option to change.
