Red face Help with Storm unlock - blame my impulse buying!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, first post as a new user... but in a bit of a panic as just purchased a Vodafone Uk Storm on ebay. I am currently using a Bold on O2 in the UK, but perfer the Storm.

I have read a lot of scarey stuff about real difficulties about getting a Storm unlocked, and then losing functionality (no browser etc) and need a reputable firm to do the deed. And what steps are then necessary after the unlock to carry on using my current SIM, etc....

HELP!!

PS - Couldn't not go for the guys offer - Unwanted company ugrade - New Storm + BB Cradle + BT headset for £220!!

contact horizonwireless for an unlock code, will cost you.
or find a reputable company in the UK.

then as long as you have the BB data plan on your O2 SIM, which you should if using the Bold, it shouldn't be a problem.
REmember to log in to your BIS account and use the change device option and enter the storm's PIN and IMEI.
it will then send the service books, so you should get everything working including emails and browser.

As O2 dont sell the storm, they dont support it, but i dont see a problem in getting most functionality.

Forgive my ignorance, but as I use my own third party email address how do I log into my BIS account?

You have configured to get your email pushed to your device, correct?
How did you configure it?

What you have done is setup that email address on BIS.
If it gave you the option to create a username and password you log in and go to the resend service books option.
if it didnt give you the option to create a username and password -> go into the email settings icon and see if there is the option to create one.
