Default BlackBerry USB mode of operation

Please Login to Remove!

Greetings,

I have a question about the operating mode of the USB for the BlackBerry. I have read that the BlackBerry operates in slave mode. Is it possible to switch it to master mode? Alternatively, is there a method to allow the BlackBerry to continously output data or communicate with a non-PC device? Thank you

Best Regards,

Californium,

You are correct, the BB USB port is a "slave" port. It is not possible to use it as a "master". It was explained to me that it would require too much memory and overhead to provide all the drivers that would be needed to allow it to operate as a master and deal with the infinite number of devices that could be connected.

I can't answer your second question about continuous output.
