Thumbs up 8700c unlocked but have a question

Please Login to Remove!

I used gsmphonesource to unlock my phone. Great fast service!

I know that unlocking the phone allows me to drop Cingular and go to T-Mobile and keep the same phone. I also know that it allows me to go overseas and make phone calls.

But now that it's unlocked and rebooted I expected to see multiple options under 'Network'. I know that both Cingular and T-Mobile are in my area. I thought I would be able to select which network I wanted to connect to.
Isn't that what you have to do when overseas? Select the 02 network?

Thanks in advance for filling in the blanks.

Doug

That all depends on your current carriers roaming agreements...domestic & international.

On you "home network" (T-Mobile) you can not select the network. When you roam internationally, you can select the network (Home network is not available).
