Three times already today I have looked at the phone and the wireless indicator on the top right of the screen is "off", i go to the menu and "turn wireless on" again, when its on again i only get the "gprs" not the "GPRS" indicator ie. no emails. so I need to reset the phone (battery out), once rebooted I get the "GPRS" indicator, my emails quickly come. Then, about half an hour later wireless "off" again. Any clues as to why???
If it's a new device take it back. Otherwise call the carrier. I don't think there is anything that you can do from your end (not common almost everything can be solved right here!)
T-Mobile in the UK, perhaps? They've been having big BB problems today I think. My BB did the same. And I know at one onther person it happened to. Not Good, as until you notice, you don't even get calls.
yes indeed, tmobile in the uk!! i'm glad i'm not the only one then! it is very irritating and i am not recieving text messages from 02 until up 5 hours after they are sent (although that has beenb happening for a couple of weeks now) Tmobile customer service has been awful
Is your battery very low when this happens? I haven't had it happen on my pearl yet but when i had my 7100 when my battery was low to save power it would shut off the wireless but that was when the battery was on the verge of dieing
Yes, it happens then too, but gives you a message saying what it's doing.
This is a separate issue that I've seen. It just shuts off for no reason.
Thats crazy i haven't heard of it doing it randomly by itself, i would have to agree with you and say it is a software issue. Have you tried to update the OS to a new version?
I'm not using my Pearl anymore and it happened even on .107. However, my wife and daughter are using them...one with .107 and one with .108 and it's not happening on theirs. (unlocked with no data plans on their carrier, though.)
I've noticed that my pearl' screen will be saying that it has full reception, but when i try to make a call or try to send a txt messages, not one of them will be actually leave my phone. And i know this cause those red arrows don't show up on my screen. So, at that point i have to turn off, then turn on the wireless, and then i can make and receive calls and so on. Its strange, and its only been doing it on .108 and .107 so i'm pretty sure its a software issue. Unless my pearl is falling apart.
Refers to version of the handheld operating system--the last portion-- For example, see the OS version in the wirelessly posted message in this post of mine.

I have seen ths many times, usually on all of our Pearls at the same time which has lead me to believe it is network related. And usually when I see a problem with it in Southern California someone else posts they are having the same issue.
