When I click on Mobile Internet or Start Mobile Internet on the Blackberry Desktop, I always get a message that says "Failed to start Mobile Internet. The specified port is not open. Please check your profile settings and make sure your radio is turned on. This service might also have been turned off by your wireless service provider or your administrator."
This happens on my Windows 7 laptop. When I connect the Blackberry to my XP latop, it works well.
I am also having the same problem when I connect my BB 9700 Bold to my lap top running on Windows 7 HB. When the same BB unit is connected to my Desktop running on Winxp Prof, I dont have any problem. Please assist
I finally have it working. I went to the Device Manager, uninstalled the ports relating to RIM, uninstalled the Blackberry Desktop Manager, installed the USB and Modem drivers for Blackberry and reinstalled the Blackberry Desktop Manager.
