You cannot run apps from the card, if that is what you are asking.

There was a thread the other day that mentions an app that can install apps from the card (i.e. Uninstall what you aren't using, install what you need using install file stored on the card). FWIW.

There is more you can get rid of if you only have 9.9mb free.

After following all of JC's Optimazation recommendation, I think upwards of 15mb, normally about 20. However, you might have opted to load a pile of themes, and additional things, so it is impossible to know what all you did in the optional parts of the reload of the OS.

Please, more detail is helpful. You couldn't find them, where did you look? Perhaps they are not on the BlackBerry if you can't find them?

Look in Options > Advanced > Applications > Menu > Modules. Anything there?

If not, you may need remove either through application loader or simply deleting a Service Book.

I'm wondering if those are applications or really just download links (like the facebook pushed to us tmo customers).

You could try updating your handheld software. That can help free up memory but can be a long and annoying process to do. A huge thing on some BlackBerry Smartphones is the unused languages. If you go through application loader in DM then you should be able to remove any languages you don't use. Other than that I don't have any tips to open up 10mb of data.

Understood. They either failed to follow the instructions or have more apps than they think or a huge one like Epocrates. And they have a Media Card but are the pics on the device memory or the card?

Not sure if this is mentioned anywhere online or not (I'm new to this) but depending on what phone you have you can get into the event log and clear that also. I have a pearl and when on the main screen you can hold down the ALT key and select L, G, L, G. It will bring up an Event Log. Click Menu and then Clear Log.
