Re-signing my contract with Verizon, what's the better choice?

Bold 9650 for $150
or Curve 8530 for $30

You might look around at other places other than Verizon to extend your contract. I'm not saying to switch carriers, but to look at other Verizon authorized dealers, or even online places that are an agent for Verizon, and you might find the same phones, same terms at a lower price.

For T-Mobile I found Sam's Club had a better deal to extend my contract than dealing directly with T-Mobile.

It's worth a shot.

Between the two, if you're talking about a 2-year hitch then I'd say go for the 9650. But before you make the decision I recommend going to a Verizon store and playing with both models. Different keypads make for a completely different BlackBerry experience. If you end up preferring the cheaper model and don't miss any of the features you'll be giving away, that's a win for you.
