Ok, so at the top of the screen, do you see anything like system messages?

Nope, no system messages. I contacted one of my friends and they responded back. When she responded back it said I had 2 BBM notifications. Once I replied to her it went back to 1 BBM notification.

Do a back-up and delete the BBM and then re-add it.

Installed this on my Tour this morning and now it's stuck in an endless reboot loop!! HELP!
I'm still on OS4.7(?) not 5.0, could that be the issue?

The new features I see are picture preview, new style icon in message list, and SMS messages between BBM contacts are threaded, like a BBM conversation. Also appears to be running slightly faster than .33.
Of course, that begs the question why you would text a BBM contact, but I hope it's the next step toward threaded SMS for all contacts.

Wouldn't threaded SMS accomplish the same thing? Then again, I guess using BBM is just glorified SMS.
My #1 wish for BBM is a desktop client, or even a web interface. How nice would it be to talk to someone from your computer, rather than picking up the BB every few seconds?

When I receive a picture thru bbm it makes me download as a file. Same as sending. Is this normal? I seem to remember older versions (4.0) being much easier.
Is there a setting that can be changed????

Hammer40, you should be seeing an image preview of the picture, and then you choose to download or not. In the past, it was just sent automatically and that is what was corrected to allow the recipient the choice to download.
