Are you saying that the sound resembles that or OS 4.2? I was on .55 and noticed a big difference with the sound levels compared to my daughters phone, so i went back to 4.2.

I installed the upgrade yesterday and the only issue I see is that Activation is stuck at 98%. The only remaining item in the activation list is "Time Zones". Everything seems to be working fine so can I ignore this (leaves an extra icon on the screen) or can I reset it somehow?

Remove the media card, and leave it out a while to see if it continues.

Somebody here once suggested and I have been doing this ever since. Connect through VPN or however you do it to your BES account Email and activate through a USB connection while it is connected. Since I have been doing that it always activates completely and without any problems at all. Usually much faster too.

interesting "bug" in this release...

If you go into the "Call Log" and highlight a previous number, the "SYM" key acts like the "DEL" key...

I don't know if this is caused by the new OS or my Blackberry but when I hold the volume down key while listening to a song it causes the song to restart from the beginning. Also holding volume up causes it to scan to the next song. Is there any way to change this?

I read somewhere that BB Messenger did not work in this release. It this still true with this "official" version?

Not a bug or glitch, a new feature from a couple of releases ago.

Instead, tap your volume up/down keys to increase/decrease the volume.

Hold them down for the previous or next song in the playlist.
