Default Saving an entire text conversation

How do you save an entire text conversation without having to save each message one by one? I dont see an option for that. I am pretty sure the curve would save your whole conversation with someone if you saved it. Does anyone know how to do this?

I'm not sure your current Curve model - if still the 8310 - but unless you have OS 5 with threaded SMS then I'm unsure if its possible; through the native OS.

EDIT: Unless you backup the full db for SMS/Messages (both most likely) via the BBDM.

Hi, Thanks for your response. I have a 9700 Bold. When I had my curve, I used to be able to push the menu key, then click save and it would save the entire conversation. You did not have to save each text of the conversation line by line.

Bump.

I am curious about this too. Prior to 5.0, I could press Menu/Save and the entire conversation would be saved (and I could delete original from inbox), or I could email the entire conversation.

With 5.0 and threaded conversations, I seem to have lost that capability and everything (save and email) is message by message.

I didn't notice but it doesn't appear to be possible to save or forward a complete conversation for archiving.

Use ABC Amber Blackberry Converter to export the conversation from a backup file. You can save it as a plain text file, a csv, a pdf, etc.

It's a great tool if you've got 30,000 or so messages you want to keep handy, but not on your phone.

The app is $20, but well worth it.

Default Thanks, but....

I would like to be able to save it on my phone like you used to be able to with the curve. Maybe that is not possible anymore.

I could write an app to do just that. I will look into it and try to post back soon. Some of the BB functions are hard to tap into from non RIM applications.
