Default Is there a way to hide pics?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to Password protect a pic or store pics somewhere where they can't be seen by someone just picking your phone up and looking through it?

I realize you can password protect the entire phone but thats not what I'm looking for. I want to have certain pics not be visable to anyone but me...... Is it possible?

Thanks

You can't password protect it, but you can hide it.

Open a pic, hit the blackberry button and choose hide.

Have fun unhiding it tho, you have to browse the folders and choose show hidden (browse the picture folders, not look thru em like if you click media>pictures)

Well an even better suggestion is to not keep nudie pics of girls on your phone where your wife/girlfriend/significant other cant see them.

Before you say "no no no that's not the reason!" what other reason is there to hide pictures?

Not an appropriate comment. It's really NONE of your business why the OP wants to hide pictures.

Its a public forum for one, and for two you failed to see the humor in it.

#1 why let the kids play with the phone?
#2 why let the kids play with the phone knowing those kinds of pics are on there?

Easiest solution if you have a computer is to just copy the pics you dont want them to see off of the phone. Hiding and restoring pics isnt the easiest thing to do, not likely to be done during a quick bathroom visit (again, humore, funny haha).

If you can open a pic, push the blackberry button (7 dots) and no option to hide is there you may need to upgrade your OS if you want the ability.

It was meant in good humor, is why in my next post i put (humor) beside it so hopefully wouldn't be missed.

If hes got those kinds of pics of the wife on the phone, i hope he could take a good natured jab lol

You could change the .jpg extension through explore. Take the "g" off or something. Makes them a pain to open, but the phone won't identify them as pictures.

notlownf, what OS are you running on your device? If you have OS 5.x.x, you can select the picture, use the menu button and click properties. There is a check box there for hidden. You can check it then save changes.

If you have more than one, you could put them in a folder and hide the entire folder using the same method.

Please add your device OS to your profile as it helps us to give you accurate information.

Ok, but remember humor doesn't come across the same in the written word.

How about just password protecting the BlackBerry itself and not letting the kids use it as a playtoy?

The first step was left out.... go to your picture hit the BB button and then choose properties... scroll down and you will see a check box "hidden". Check it and save.
