Default is this enough proof?

Please Login to Remove!

Basically, I think my friend called L stole my blackberry curve during May. I've only just found out yesterday through facebook when i was just going through people's pages, came across hers and noticed that her BB pin is EXACTLY the same as the one i had supposedly 'lost'. So, i printed out a screen shot of her facebook page and seeing as her last name on facebook is not her real one i made sure by contacting other friends that that facebook page is definitely hers. I've saved the text that my friend K sent me which proves that it's her page. Also, I still have the box the phone came in so I also have proof that that specific BB pin is mine! So, as my above question; is this enough proof to prove that it's my phone?

Also, after i 'lost' the phone i gave her everything i had got with my phone excluding the box. this includes the disk whih comes with it. Does using someone elses blackberry disk change your blackberry pin?

Finally, the day my phone got stolen my friend L braught her aunt's blackberry in to school seeing as her aunt said she could have it. It was blocked at that time so she couldnt really use it properly. When we were walking up the stairs to our next lesson (there was only the two of us on the stairs as we were late for lesson) she said she heard something fall but i didnt hear anything so i just ignored it and carried on climbing up the stairs. If a blackberry fell on the stairs which were blatently made from concrete or stone or whatever, i would have heard it right? especially since there was NO ONE ELSE THERE!

finally, i think she still has her aunt's blackberry and hasnt told her parent's about the other blackberry she has (meaning my one) so what if i tell her that i know that she has my blackberry only to find that she has her aunt's one on her and hid mine somewhere? i would look like a fool and would be completely embarassed? how can i prove that she has my phone even when she claims and even 'proves' that she hasnt (by showing her aun't instead of mine)?

PLEASE HELP!!! I DIDNT EVEN HAVE MY PHONE FOR A MONTH BEFORE IT GOT 'LOST'

thanks
Shelley x

Oh, and i need to prove that it's my phone before actually going to claim it as mine

PIN number is unique to the blackberry. It can't be changed, at least not by any ordinary means.

If your phone is that new, you should still have the box/receipt from the carrier. If you do, that PIN will be on the side of the box as well as the paperwork from the carrier. That should be all you need to claim it as yours.

Yep, you've got the proof.

Now go to the local police and file criminal theft charges against your friend.

But I am betting you won't do that.

The OP could be a 12 year old. Probably is. If so, better advice is to talk to parent(s) or guardian.

pin is unique as mentioned before and as long as you have proof that the pin belongs to you then you are sorted.

if they on the same network provider tariff have the BB blocked by calling the provider with your details. If not its down to you how you deal with them. If friend well obviously they aren't!

Thanks for just repeating things that others said. That's really helpful.
