Default Some worker threads have been blocked for 6 health checks

BlackBerry Messaging Agent ATLSBB01 Agent 1 (Application Event Log on ATLSBB01): 02/07/2006 18:02:52 (6FFFC364) -> Some worker threads have been blocked for 6 health checks

Anyone know why I keep getting these error messages. I did a google and a search on this website and nothing came up.

I am running BES 4.0.1.18 on a Exchange 2003 invoroment.

I restarted the controller and the errors have stopped for the moment. Will SP 3 fix this issue?

Regards,
Beenie

Install SP3 + Hotfix 1,2,3

and I think your problems are gone.

I don't think SP3 will help for this. It is more likely that the BES is experiencing difficulty communicating with Exchange.

Are you running Anti-Virus on the BES or in Exchange? We had a problem with Symantec Mail Security. There is a particular feature that scans mail traffic and it was killing the majority of our BES threads. The only way to solve it was to disable that "feature" in Symantec Mail Security.

I looked today. The feature is configured in the client settings. It can be found in the Symantec AV main window. Drill down to Symantec Antivirus->Configure->Internet E-mail Auto Protect. Make sure it is disabled.

Not sure if your problem has been resolved, but this can also be caused by remote users that access the bes, if you have user who's mail server is not local to the Bes this can cause block threads as they will be accessing the sever over the wan if this user has a slow connection it will cause block threads.... an affect all users on the BES

Well figured it out. It seems to be a problem with my remote exchange servers. My ping time from BES is 300+ms(it should be in the range of 30ms). The good news is that we are increasing our bandwidth in a few months. This should take care of the problem. So no anti-virus problems.

Regards,
Bryan
