Question GAL Lookup

Please Login to Remove!

I've read quite a bit that you can search the Global Address List from your BB to find information like phone numbers and stuff. My question is simple.... Where do you go on the BB to do this search?

When you compose an email type the name of a co-worker (either first or last, or partial first or last name).

Then press the Menu button (left of trackball) and click Lookup. All matches to the name you typed in will be returned and you can click on the name you want.

If you are on BES, go to your Contacts list, press the menu key and select "Lookup" from the sub menu. It will string search form what you type for a name .

Question

I understand that part, but people have told me you can find phone numbers and pins as well. Lookup within email just lets you email them right? How do you see their phone number?

When you find them after the lookup, highligh their name, press the Menu button, and click View.

ok, that makes sense. I was under the impression you could do it some other place than in the compose email screen.

Thanks

You can also use the Lookup in the Call Log/phone application. Click on the Call Log/phone icon, then type someone's name and do the same steps for Lookup and View.

Can use it with Compose PIN as well.
