I would say its a personal prefrence. If your happy with what you have and having the latest update isnt your thing then by all means stick with what you got.

I'm on Alltel and we're known for having crappy MMS support, however when I had the stock 4.3 on here, I was able to send/recv. MMS pictures and videos just fine. After upgrading to 4.5 (Even though HTML E-mail is nice!), I'm unable to receive any MMS.
How do I downgrade or revert to what I was running?
Thanks.

Said I had the beta. Lol. Definitely like to be on the bleeding edge, but right now I'm working a lot of hours (moreso than usual) and need my bb to be working at or near peak.

Ever since i've upgraded, now Sprint Software store doesn't recommend my device. I was going to buy iBerry theme, and now I can't buy it at all or find it at all. Suggestions?

had a crack at this one last night, geeees the download from blackberry site is slow. started the download at 9, had the files by 11:30, then started the upgrade and finally had it all up and running closer to 1am.
seems to have worked well, video camera works, html email is awesome.
i didn't gain too much extra speed though and we'll see how stability goes but no crashes so far.
all in all very happy! thanks to all the contributers to this thread for the info!

The issue I was experiencing earlier with Docs to Go not installing seems to have been due to a missed step on my part. I didn't delete the Vendor.xml file. I downgraded my OS and then installed 4.5 after deleting Vendor.xml and now I have Docs to Go.
I have another issue now...yay :S
Wasn't HTML e-mail supposed to be a part of this update? My e-mails look the same as always. Any help would be appreciated.

hey guys i have a quick ? for all you. I am about to do the upgrade following the precidure on the first page.
So I connected my BB to DM and it said that i do need an upgrade, but when the screen comes up to show the following update it shows that it is Blackberry 4.3 coree applications. Shouldnt that be 4.5.x or is that just the software on the phone its self?
Can someone clear this up for me?

HTML e-mail didn't work with mine either, until I resent my service books, after that, all worked fine.

Did any Telus users get this to work or is there any official word from Telus on availability of an official upgrade?

Has anyone tried sending a pic via Blackberry Messenger with 4.5? It's painfully slow to scroll through the list of names for some reason..

I see your on Bell, I'm on Telus, assuming its the same, Options -> E-Mail Settings, or Log into your BIS account and resend from there, for Bell I think its: hxxps://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=bell (change hxxps to https)

I don't know if you want to update one of the links in the start of this thread which says "1. Make sure you have the latest version of Desktop Manager installed. Get it here: " -- the link gives you access to 4.3 DM.
but the latest DM (4.6) is found here:
www blackberry com / Downloads /entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22
sorry, I had to put spaces on the link.
