I'm really hoping someone here can help. All of a sudden a couple weeks ago I quit receiving sms friends status update messages from facebook. At the time I quit receiving them, nothing had changed as far as my settings on facebook, I went and double checked that numerous times. I've contacted facebook, did everything they suggested.

Last night I deleted my phone number and tried both options to get messages started again. I've texted "F" to 32665 and I've went online and clicked the link to send a text to my phone, neither option has worked. No matter what I do I still do not receive the confirmation text with the confirmation number needed to activate it online. I've went in to all the verizon stores here in town and called their tech support, they all say its not their problem, its facebooks problem, of course facebook now is telling me to contact my mobile carrier. I'm stuck getting the run around. Hoping someone here will have a suggestion.

I realize I have the facebook app on my phone, but it takes forever to load status updates, plus I don't want to see the updates of everyone on my friends list, just family and a few friends which made it great that I could have those statuses texted to my phone....grrrrrrr!!!
