Default Sync went bad...Outlook Exchange help needed please!

Please Login to Remove!

I've managed to hose my Outlook Calendar...was playing around w/Nexthaus SyncJE and Mobical (looking into wireless sync options for BIS), and, well it's a long and boring story that ends up w/my Outlook work calendar (on exchange server) being a complete mess...

I have recent backups, and have restored my old PST and OST files, but since my Outlook calendar is stored on the server, when I start Outlook and connect to the server I get the message:

"Outlook is using an old copy of your Offline Folder file (.ost). Exit Outlook, delete the .ost file, and restart Outlook. A new file will be automatically created the next time you initiate a send/receive."

So what to do? How can I tell Outlook to use my old OST file to replace the info on the server, or at least to add what's in my local OST file to what's on the server?

Appreciate any help...

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8130/4.3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

If you can view the old file, save it to a personal folders file and exit. Let outlook create the new file and then open the personal folders file you saved the calendar events in. Move or copy files over. At least that is what I would try.

Thanks very much for the suggestion...I'll try it right now, but I'm not sure what you mean by "move or copy the files over."

You mean open the PST in Outlook and then drag calendar events from the PST into my regular calendar?

OK...I think I'm getting it. Imported the calendar PST file, and am going to restart Outlook now and let it recreate an OST, then I'm going to see if I can delete everything in my standard Outlook calendar, and then copy over everything from the backup calendar I imported...

I'm back...the recovery was, as lindycu suggested, easy.

Just too tired to think straight.

Deleted everything in my online calendar, then imported all my calendar items from the PST of my backup calendar. Duh!
