Any new on when sprint will get either the 8800 or 8300 or any new models? I would hope that because sprint is running 3g they would try to get a 3g model.

I've heard rumors of a Sprint device that will work in both the US and overseas coming out later this year... that would be nice.

Will it include the MP3 player, microSD slot AND the camera? ... or the model "without" the camera???

Yeah don't care about camera to much. I'm sticking with my 8703 until a bb with either wifi or 3g is released.

Same here. So far so good. Although EV-DO Rev A. is coming out soon and I was told current (sprint 8703e) EV-DO phones will be able to take advantage of it through a software upgrade.

^^ dont count on it. Rev A requires hardware different from that used by Rev 0. There are chips capable of doing both but they were not used in the current gen evdo devices. Expect the forthcoming ppc-6800 pocket pc phone to be the first Rev A upgradable device available.

Thumbs up Rev A. Kicks Butt!

Rev a. is Sprint/Nextel's latest iteration of high speed BroadBand.
We had a chance to test some Rev A devices here in Michigan recently and were getting downloads speeds close to 2nd Gen DSL speeds. It blows Alltel's EVDO away!

Nope. The 8703 has a Rev 0 chipset so the best performance you will see is Rev 0.

Is this something that can be upgraded at a sprint store with a new chip or will I have to just purchase another when bb comes out with REV A model?

I just got tired of the speculation of new nextel this and that, hybrid stuff and what will the next blackberry be... I wanted faster internet, use phone as a modem and a few other things. I bailed on nextel and blackberry and got the Moto Q. There are a few downsides, but the speed rocks and the software availability is huge.

I miss my GPS, but CoPilot makes a real nice BT that is rechargable.

Bye Bye BB and Slow internet.

Why didn't you simply upgrade to a 8703? GPS support, EVDO and tethering at no extra cost.
