I am running in co-existence mode with 2003 and 2010. I'm in the process of migrating the BB users but I'm having some issues with the BB docs on how to do. I was kind of nervous migrating the BESAdmin account so I created a copy of it called BESXAdmin and successfully moved that mailbox to 2010. I gave the user the appropriate permission and group assignments as per BB doc. Next step I changed the MAPI profile on BESX to use the new account and then restarted the services (and I tried rebooting as well). Guess what happened? No mail for BB users. Can anyone explain, if this process is incorrect and if so, how should it be done?

Anybody's help would be greatly appreciated.

FWIW...I did follow the document except for using the actual BESADMIN account

did you apply all the permission for both mail servers for the BESXAdmin account?

You can use the same BESAdmin account as the old server is using. Just make sure you apply the permissions to the new mail server.

What do you mean by apply all the permission to both mail servers? From my understanding of the bb docs the changes are made to the bes account after the move.

As an FYI ... My besx is on a dedicated server

You have to apply the permisssions in exchange before you move the mail box.
