I have blackberry 8310 with OS 4.2.2.170 and I want to have video and voice recorder. I think these two features can be added with change of OS. I have not changed OS from the date I purchased it.

Please advise which OS I should install and can that be installed on the current OS. If yes, please provide me the link which can detail the dtep wise step process.

Please see the yellow sticky at the top of the 8300 section. There you will find the latest OS for your specific device and instructions on how to do the upgrade. And remember, the OS is device specific so, since you have an 8310, you must install the OS for that device.

I do not know if it will allow video or not however.

Any 83xx device will support video recording with OS 4.5 installed.

Can OS 4.5 or any newer OS be installed on the OS I currently have or I need to install upgrade by upgrade.

You can install the newest version. It will replace what you have.

Updated the OS to 4.5 and got voice and video recorder.
