Default Strange battery issue

Please Login to Remove!

Six month old 9000 with OEM battery. Lately my battery has been going dead after less than a day of use. I have taken all the normal measures to preserve battery life: brightness turned way down, Java script off, Autostandby installed and working, no bluetooth. Something is really draining this thing. No special apps polling for signals. I don't run GPS much, if at all. Here's the strange part: When I plug it in to recharge, in 5 minutes it's back to 50 percent. I don't make dozens of phone calls, but even just one call seems to suck the life out of the battery, really drain it. Any ideas? My opsys is the original 167.

+1 although it's not always true is it? some people upgrade and their battery seems worse at times? i'm just speculating.

Well the reason I'm suggesting upgrade is because I had the very same battery issues with my bold and the original phone os and when I upgraded to .247, that problem went away and never came back. I got a full 12 hours out of my battery. And now that I have upgraded to the latest .282, thankfully I'm still experiencing great battery performance.

So that's why I suggested it. But a new battery could be good too

well, OT but the memory on .282 is improved a lot as compared to .266. also i wasn't sure about the battery ALWAYS being better on an OS upgrade, but yes, it's MUCH better on this one!
