Talking A Pearl in the rough.

First-time poster here on Blackberryforums.com, but long time cell phone user. Recently switched from Cingular or the New AT&T, or whatever they call themselves now. I had a Sony Ericsson T616 with them. I've also had LG phones with Sprint before they partnered with Nextel, and I've had other great phones like Nokia lol. I still remember my first cell phone, it was a Cellular One bag phone, (yea, I'm old school), and I believe it was 900mhz. Man what a brick that thing was! I'm toting a T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl (White) now.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the people who have put up informative posts on this forum. I've done a lot with my new Blackberry Pearl after doing some research on different topics throughout this forum. I do want to thank these people personally though:

Mark Rejhon, thanks for the browser tips.
Zro, thanks for the movie encoding tips.
locns, thanks for the YIM info.

Of course thanks to everyone that posted topics about the time zone updates. Without them I'd still be an hour behind lol. God knows these time zone changes really kick me in the rear when I lose an hour of sleep.

Also, this is my first Blackberry, and honestly I can't believe I've done without one this long. It's great how convenient these things are! Plus T-Mobile packs some nice customer support and pricing options over other competitors. You probably won't see me post too much on these forums because I usually only post when I have something good or informative to add. Other than that I will just troll the forums for useful info!

Hope you all have a great day!

Well, greetings and welcome! I have to say also--what an 'up' and refreshingly positive comments.

Enjoy!

The T610 series was a brilliant phone. Incredibly flexible and useful. I was able to tether via Bluetooth back in 2002 with it, and even synchronize with it. Hell, it even had the ability to switch itself to vibrate or silent whenever a meeting came up in your calendar. It was a truly awesome phone.
