contacts - contact1 - click to view
highlight number field
menu - copy to sim
do this for every number of every contact.
it wont save email addresses believe.

Only phone numbers.
Misho - if you can, sync your BlackBerry with Outlook. Then you can use iTunes to sync your contacts from Outlook to the iPhone.

Yep you can do one by one as midnight suggested, but I would go with what NJblackberry said, it is far easier to put your contacts on outlook, and then put them on the iphone.

This is FALSE! Plenty of people use DM to sync their PIM data without having a data plan.

I love my BB...but the ability to transfer all contacts to SIM in one fell swoop is a feature that is on scads of much cheaper phones, and most "dumbphones" as well. The need to move each contact one by one is assinine!!
When will RIM ever come up to the norm in that area?

Also are they ever going to allow to save apps on our memory card which has been a feature since god knows when.

Considering that the SIM card saves only phone numbers, and I would guess that, oh, 99% of people also need the e-mail addresses, saving to the SIM card just doesn't seem to be much of a priority.

True, but by now you would think that SIM cards can hold all contact information.

But then again I sync with my pc and outlook so I am covered

SIM cards were never, are never and will never be designed to all contact information.
They were made to a) create a link to the network b) to save 1 phone number per name on phones that didnt have internal memory to store phone numbers.
Now they are becomming obsolete (CDMA phones that dont use them).
Its unlikely that GSM will ever be able to get rid of SIM cards completely, but SIM cards are never going to be upgraded to include something that almost all phone now can handle.

SIM cards are becoming obsolete?
Really. Opinion or based on any facts (besides that CDMA carriers have never used them).
