Default I need help getting themes loaded on device

HELP
Ok I don’t know if I am doing this right or not but every time I download a theme other than using the ota(over the air), I am unsuccessful at getting it on the actual blackberry itself. I’m using the blackberry desktop manager to try and load the file onto my blackberry. I don’t know. Maybe I’m missing something. I have tried several themes that others even say work fine.
So here is what I do. I download the theme(which they say is compatible with my OS) I extract the files from the zip. I then connect my blackberry and run the bb desktop manager. I then go to application loader. Then go to “add”. From there I find the theme folder and I have tried to add every single different file that it extracts with it saying “syntax error on line 1….or something to the such” then it displayis a message saying “no other additional applications were found for your device. “
What am I missing or doing wrong?

Do the files have .cod and .alx extensions?

Wirelessly posted

Yes some of the themes do and some don't. Alx are the ones that I'm suppose to be trying to load right?

Correct, but the two files need to be in the same location on your PC.(i.e; in the same folder).

The themes that don't have .cod or .alx, what are their extensions?
