Is that what passes for journalism these days? The Times can't find anything useful to put on the front page?? Geez, I guess they've joined the ranks of the Star and National Enquirer. What's next - alien ufo babies?

My feeling on it is that if you have to have one for work, get a personal device that you won't feel embarrassed about if it is really that much of an issue.

True, although some people don't have that option. My new company is a good example. BlackBerry is still the primary mobile e-mail solution, and I will likely be provided a 9930 or 9850 unless my boss can convince the security folks to allow me to use my old iPhone 4S, which they're not keen to do as it isn't a corporate-owned device.

Regardless of what they do, I'll still have my iPhone 5 because I won't do personal things on any managed device.

Yeah, not everyone has a choice or wants to carry two devices.

Interesting comments on how the White House is allowing iOS devices.

I have been working on doing this as well. Trying to convince the powers that be is no easy task. They still view the BlackBerry as a business tool and the iPhone as a toy.

We used to be 100% BB. Down to 45% and dropping weekly. We have MDM solutions and await a briefing from RIM on BB 10, BES 10, blah blah blah.

Even hearing from our units in SE Asia that there is increased demand for iOS and Android. They used to be 100% BB...

SMFH - Insanely stupid article - no matter what platform it was written about.

I read elsewhere the woman has an 8530 - low end device.

I really have a hard time getting worked up about what other people think of my BB. I like it, it works for me, so I don't care much whether it's cool to other people.

Amen.

I get that crap all the time. Hey, why don't you get rid of that Blackberry, you know there going bankrupt don't ya? I usually reply that it works for me so you can keep your malware infested smartphone if you like. Then I get the shocked stare. I personally have two BB's. One from work on BES and one of my own on BIS. Like NJBB said, it works for me so what difference does it really make?

And I have a Windows Phone 7. No malware, no "hour glass", no reboots, no memory leaks. LOVE IT. And it works for me!

I'm anxious to see the Lumia 920 actually. If BB10 doesn't pan out, that maybe my next personal smartphone. I don't know too many people with the 900 as I'd like to hear more about their experience with it but from what you say you're impressed with it so far. I'm going to CES in Las Vegas in January so I'm going to hopefully see both the new BB 10's as well as the Lumia's.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's embarrassed. 'You're constantly watching people do all these things on their phones and all I have going for me is my family group BBM chats' sums it up for me.

If you're embarrassed, why not get a different phone?
