Default Leaked .75 vs VZW .75 - any point upgrading to VZW's?

Please Login to Remove!

a) it doesn't recognize it when you plug in, as a needed update when you're already on .75, so it will require more work to get it to work

b) i'm hearing VZW's update is slower than the leaked .75.

Thoughts?

It's not more work. Just open App loader and say that it's ok to continue if it asks. I was downgrading from .76 and that is all it took. However, after using this for awhile I may be starting to think that the leaked version was faster. It usually takes awhile for things to settle down before anybody knows for sure though.

I used apploader.

After that, it said it was updated successfully. However, the device never rebooted and it only took like 5 minutes.

I'm confused.

May not be equal.

The "Official" VZW distribution of 9530AMEA_PBr4.1.7.0_rel107_PL4.0.0.94_A4.7.0.75_Ve rizon.exe actually has a digital signature date of Friday, December 05, 2008 9:28:31 AM. This is 9 days later than the digital signature on the leaked version of 0.75.

The filesizes are NOT the same. The VZW distribution of 0.75 is 107,842,664 bytes, 11,264 bytes larger than the "leaked" version (107,831,400 bytes).

The VZW distribution of 0.75 is even 512 bytes larger than the 12-04-08 Bell Mobility release of 0.76 (107,842,152 bytes).

Just completed Verizon's .75 download and everything is working. The Storm kept all settings.

The base OS should be the same, the language modules loaded and such can and could be different, for sure. But there is a reason they use the release denomination for the different releases.

I had been runing.75 leaked since the day it came out and just update to .75 official tonight. I think the .75 leaked is actually faster. This one, the response on the screen is less when you click. It takes awhile for the menu to come up when click on the BB button.

That's all I noticed so far, just a tat bit slower

Thought I'm the only one who noticed this. See my post on this http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-released.html thread.

I just hope vzw addressed the memory leak issue on the leaked/beta .75
