Angry This is bull

Please Login to Remove!

Went to my vzw store was #10 in line. Get to the counter tell them I want a new storm. They do all the paperwork run my credit card give me a reicept then tell me they don't have any in stock and I will get mine at home on Monday. It would of been nice if they had told me up front that I wasn't getting it today.

My exp at a local store, it appears other vzw stores in the area are pulling the same 'trick'

Also, on another forum, another opened a thread about the same issue, called and was told first come first serve, yet to come in, the phones were on hold and would be 'gladly' to order one for you. screw that, youre not getting any commission from me!

To top it off, employees are getting them before customers. The customers should always come first then employees later. Cherry on top, apparently upgrades are 2nd inline to new customers.

If iI take my car to get the oil changed today I better tell them I want it back today. I'd hate for them to drain the oil and then tell me they will have new oil Mon.

I just placed my order online after calling my local store. They told me they were out but may be getting more soon, which means "I have no idea when we are getting them in stock".

I called the number on the promotional flyer last night and spoke to a rep. He told me he could officially place the order at 0700 today and ship it to me so that I had it on Monday at 1000. I took a leap of faith and accepted what he was telling me.

With that said, I received a phone call from a Verizon Supervisor at 0703 this morning telling me my Storm order was placed and that I should have it Monday morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything I was told really happens. It has thus far and I have no reason to doubt it. VZW's customer service (should I say phone service) has gotten loads better from my few experiences. I hope others have good experiences too.

I arrived at my verizon store around 8:45, by then the storms were all gone (they had 12, 20+ people were waiting in line outside the store before 7). The sales rep then ordered me one and said I would have it by noon saturday.

Keep in mind, when a VZW rep calls you the night before stating they have 10 in stock and will be on a first come first serve basis and they are not holding ANY phones, and youre the FIRST to walk through the door and they dont have any to sell, yet have 2 on hold, there's a problem. First it's bad customer service along with bad salesmaship which equates to no sales.

I guess I should have took the hint when they were inside and looking through the glass door at the 4 of us standing outside 10 mins before the doors open.

As for ordering one, they advised the earliest it would ship would be Tuesday.

Well my store didnt find out they were opening early til the last minute today so I thought they were opening at 9 and showed up at 8:30 only to find they were sold out. I got mine for $149 though

Ah well something to look forward to next week.

My store had 30, I was #8 on line. They took my name and cell number and told me I could go sit in my car and stay warm. They opened 2 hours early (8 am), but only let a few people into the store at a time for the first hour. I think they got the message that customers were pissed they had to stand outside in the cold just to get in and decided to let everyone in at 9 am.

I can't believe that they took your credit cards in the store without telling you whether they had them in stock or not. I would have been pissed!

As far as the phone is concerned, the accelerometer lag is minimal and easily manageable. I purchased the belt clip holster and I'm still trying to figure out the best method to remove the phone from it in order to keep the screen display in the vertical position (it always ends up horizontal by the time I get it comfortable in my hand).

The screen is fairly easy to use. Suretype is better on this device than on the Pearl because the buttons are easier to see, and further spread apart. You cannot type as quickly as you can on a device with physical keys, but it's not so slow that your unhappy with it. Accessing the menu is easy, selecting applications is easy as well.


One thing I'm finding rather difficult is if I make a mistake while typing a message, but don't pick up on it until I'm finished typing the whole message, its tough to get the cursor back to the spot where I want to make a correction. Perhaps theres a better way to do this. i haven't found it yet.

Thats insane. Corp stores only getting 2 - 10 phones? What did they expect? They hype this thing up like its the second comming, and dont have any to give people. Why didnt they just wait until they could ship out 50+ to each store, and release it then?

Unhappy I agree, it is BULL

I called a bunch of Verizon stores in southeast MI yesterday and every single one of them only received 10 BB Storms today. I ordered mine thursday night and they are overnighting it, so I should have it on Saturday morning....

Sucks though because I have Class saturday at 8am till who knows when so I have to wait even longer for my phone...

Oh well, guess I'll get it when I get it.
