Finally got my curve today, everything works fine apart from one thing.

Every time I try to send an SMS, the device goes off, with a red light first, then nothing, and then restarts, and when it has restarted the message centre number has vanished.

I've tried various things, like putting the centre number in, restarting it, and then attempting to send, but all to no avail.

Customer service ofc, don't open again til the morning *sigh*

However, I have managed to receive a txt....

Seems strange. Have you tried removing the battery and reseating the sim card? Worth a try.

I've pulled the battery several times, but will try the sim, sounds unlikely tho when everything else is working fine.

Nope, straight off again, followed by a restart that looks the same as when you pull the battery *sigh*

I'm off to put my sim back in my old phone, having no sms is highly annoying. I could have lived without email or mms, but not sms..

one last thought, I had a look at the servicebooks it has, and there is no mention of sms, only mms. I resent them anyways, but was wondering if this is the source?

No service books are required for sms.

back off to the t-mob store we go, if they replace it, will I lose my email address?

It seems my 10 yr old One2One sim card was the cause of the problem, even though the BB push stuff, wap, mms etc was fine...!
